What seems to be a BLAST from the PAST....is actually how this farm operates........
This is how the hay is brought to feed the cows!! |
This is how the water is heated inside. |
Milking barn |
Into the milk can........ |
Strained with the cheesecloth....... |
Into the tank until time to go to the milk plant....... |
Awaiting their milking turn...... |

I did not want this picture taken, funny looking picture, but Lewis wanted me to stand by these cows that were next in line for the milking machine!! I was telling him to take the picture quick!!!
Tonight, just before Lewis' meeting with the owner of the company, some other employees came into the room with a birthday present for the boss!! His birthday was last week while he was out of town, this is a picture of what you might give your boss in Russia if he owns some dairies and a milk plant!!! He also got a dozen roses, but he laid them down and went over by the bull to give a "thank you" speech.

Now that is cool. Linda is quite the trooper. She makes new friends everywhere we go.This is one of seven farmstead farms that we will be working with as part of our stay in Russia.
