September 9, 2012 A special church meeting

Our main reason for coming to St Petersburg this weekend was for a special organizational church meeting.  One of the church leaders, Elder Russell M. Nelson, came from Salt Lake City to speak and usually no pictures are taken inside the chapel, but others were doing it and so we took a couple also.

Before going to church we had a nice breakfast and took a couple of pictures of the view from the restaurant window.  The day started out rainy, but turned out very nice as the day went on.

 

Sunday evening we took the train back to Velikie Luki and had a 4 passenger compartment.  I slept on the top bunk, and Lewis on the bottom.  We did have one bunk mate who slept across from Lewis.  This ladder is so hard to figure out what to hold onto in order to get to the top bunk, once up there it isn’t so bad, but getting there is not so easy!!!
