October 7th - 16th visit to Utah

October 7th - 16th
Next stop is Utah to visit Lewis’ dad and his brother Martel and his family.

These are some of the things that are memories of visiting Lewis’ dad’s home.  A picture of his home.  A horse drawn cultivator. A sundial.  Barn shaped shed. His truck and the “happy trails” insignia. Chicken coop. The great views of the mountains from the front of the house and from the back of the house, even with the fires this past summer, the mountains are still beautiful.

One of the days we were there Lewis cleaned out the clogged up gutters that were full of leaves.  What a wonderful guy!!

Another day Lewis gave Asha a cooking lesson.  She prepared vegetables, and some good gravy.

Oopppss……what happened here????

Since Lewis won’t have a chance to visit with my daughter Aimee and her family in November we all made arrangements to meet in Salt Lake City Utah for the weekend

It was a beautiful drive from Oak City to Salt Lake City.  All the colors and the beautiful blue skies, then later, as a storm moved in, the clouds coming down over the mountains.

On Saturday we all went to Thanksgiving Point to Cornbelly’s.  Lots of fun…….

 The Bathroom direction givers.......
We went into this haunted house creature......now that is a story the grandkids will never forget.
 Haystacks tunnel.......
On top of the haystacks are some really cute kids
Stacee, Lewis and I climbed up and then slid down the "Pumpkin Sack Slide"
What is this guy riding on?  We saw him as we were leaving, very interesting!!

The grandkids all stayed in the hotel room with us, they were tired from the day of adventures.

The next day, after church and lunch we went to a living aquarium.  Very fun and lots of interesting things to see, it was hard to pick out which pictures to share.

Not sure if you can tell on these two pictures, but there is a place you can climb under and stick your head up through to make it look like you are in the otter’s tank.  So Lewis did it and then Landon joined him.  So funny!!  I think the otter was looking at them wondering what was going on also, but I didn’t capture that in the picture…..too bad!!
