November 13th - 20th Oak City Utah to plan and attend a funeral

Nov 13-20 Oak City for funeral preparations

Saturday we had a great breakfast over at Martel and Hollie’s house, I saw these two on their phones I guess they can’t have a“normal” conversation, they need to stand next to each other and text.

Later in the afternoon Lewis gave Parker a lesson on how to hold a Capri Sun Juice pack without squeezing it and spilling it. He did a great job. (both of them)

One evening we went for dinner with John and Libby and girls……saw this on the menu and glad we don’t drink coffee…..misprint OR way expensive????

This is the message inside the book that people signed when they came to the funeral…….good message!!

A few pictures from the day of the funeral.

When we went out to put flower at the grave, Parker was clearing a path for us......what a big job for a little guy!!!

Out to eat with family that evening, food wasn’t so great but the sign was cool.

The next day was the beginning of making funeral arrangements. Saw this picture on the table at the funeral home and liked what it represented. Martel looking up information for us……then afterwards we got a treat, milkshakes…..the biggest straw I have ever seen in a milkshake.

Look what we saw on the way back…….

We flew into Provo Utah and Lewis’ brother Martel picked us up to take us to Oak City. This is a very small airport, kind of like Rock Springs. We asked where we were supposed to pick our luggage up at and we were told to go outside. Very strange. We saw this awning/carport thing and a few minutes later here comes a trolley type vehicle with everyone’s luggage. I guess it was everyone for themselves and hopefully people were honest because you would never see your bags again.

On the morning of November 13, 2013 Lewis’ dad passed away from his battle with cancer. What a wonderful man he was/is and a great example to follow for all who knew him.
