June 7, 2012 microwave popcorn and microwave lunch

We bought some microwave popcorn during one of our very first shopping trips when we got here.  I have not been brave enough to figure out how the settings work with cooking the popcorn.  Finally I got brave and just went for it.  The popcorn actually turned out very good.  Once the package was opened it had English directions on it, if I had known that I would have cooked it sooner!!!  One was salted, but very lightly and the other one was like kettle corn.

I was about to throw away these packages when I saw these cute little pictures on the back, so of course had to take a picture to share and below the picture are the direct translations.......so funny!!!

1.  Take off with the film packet without opening the paper bag, put it in the microwave in the unfolded state.

2.  Set from 2-3 minutes depending on the capacity of the furnace.

3.  When the package is fully swell and cracking of grains slows to 2-3 seconds interval, turn off the stove. popcorn ready.

4.  Take out a bag of microwave, shake well and pull it diagonally in the upper corners of the package.  carefully pack the hot

5.  If there were many unopened beans, slightly increase the cooking time for the next packet

LUNCH - (another experiment of something we weren't sure of when we bought it)

On the outside, this meal reminded me of Ramen Noodles soup where you put boiling water in the cup and cover it for a certain amount of time and then eat.

I translated a few of the words to make sure they were the directions that the pictures showed.  Then the process began.  The noodles and the seasoning I was used to, but the contents of the next pouch.....not so sure of.....smelled like dog food kind of and it appeared to be meat with some sauce.

Cover and wait 3-5 minutes and see what happens...............................

Add the last packet...........and here you go...........Russia Ramen Noodle Soup!!! The taste......VERY GOOD!!!
