Yesterday at the store they had a whole bunch of Watermelons....YUMMY!! We got a very large one!!!
It weighed 13.105 kg (28 pounds 14 ounces)
Lewis took this hefty Watermelon over to the scale and put the #73 in and out popped our little sticker that he placed on the watermelon to be scanned at checkout (We just love those little scales and stickers)
It cost 16.90 Rubles (16 Rubles 90 Kopek) per kg
So this beautiful watermelon cost about 48 cents/kg which came out to a whopping total of 221.47 Rubles (about $6.75)
It is always chancey buying watermelons, you never know how good it will be inside BUT we were not disappointed........
It smelled so good and tasted even better.......We each ate a good sized bowl of it and filled a 3gallon ziplock (brought from the states) for enjoying over the next few days!!!
